De Akashi White Oak is het resultaat van het mengen van mout- en graan whisky's, wat zorgt voor een harmonieus en complex smaakprofiel. Dit resulteert in een zeer zachte whisky met tonen van honing, specerijen, kaneel, eikenhout, vanille en diverse citrusvruchten.
De White Oak distilleerderij, gelegen in de Japanse stad Akashi, stookt al sinds 1919 voornamelijk Sake en Shochu. Pas in 1984 werd de eerste whisky gedistilleerd. De productie is slechts twee maanden per jaar operationeel, wat betekent dat de "batches" in zeer beperkte oplage verkrijgbaar zijn.
