Unlike generic PWM controllers, the BlueSolar PWM-Light series incorporates Victron’s proven three-stage charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, float), optimised for 48V lead-acid and lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. This extends battery lifespan and maximises usable capacity, reducing the risk of premature battery failure in remote or unattended systems.
Smart Load Output with Lighting Control
A standout feature is the programmable load output, which can be configured for manual control, low voltage disconnect, or automated lighting schedules. The intuitive two-digit seven-segment display allows quick setup of timer functions, making it ideal for controlling 12V/24V DC lights (via a DC-DC converter) or other loads directly from the controller. This eliminates the need for separate timers or relays in many applications.
The load output is protected against overload and short circuit, with automatic shutdown after 60 seconds at 130% load or 5 seconds at 160% load, and immediate shutdown on short circuit. This robust protection reduces the risk of damage to connected equipment and wiring.
