Stumpjumper 15 EVO is here to obliterate every trade-off in the trail game. Devour bumps like a big bike? Check. Short-travel control, playfulness, and efficiency? Double check. How about a heaping helping of personalization to make it perfect for the only rider who really matters—you? Check, check, check. BREAKTHROUGH CAPABILITY: GENIE Shock Technology combines a poppy, playful ride with a bottomless DH feel. ULTIMATE CONTROL: Measurably better traction than "Bike of the Year" Stumpjumper EVO. UNMATCHED PERSONALIZATION: Six-way geometry adjustment, mixed wheel or 29"; tunable spring curve, and more. GENIE—The Magic Carpet Ride: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 is GENIE. This patent-pending air spring technology that we invented grants every trail rider’s three wishes: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out prevention than a standard air spring, and a tunable "platform" for a playful feel. ILLUMINATING GENIE: GENIE combines the control-enhancing linear spring rate of a coil spring through the "bump zone" with the progressive spring rate of an air spring at the end of the stroke to avoid bottom-outs. Truly, it's the best of both worlds – coil and air – with extra tunability. Say goodbye to compromises and hello to the future of riding. WHAT BUMP?: With 16.3% better bump force management than a traditional air-sprung shock, GENIE makes the Stumpy 15 ride like a bike with more travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (with 145 mm rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170 mm travel) both use 101 mm of travel to absorb a 1080 N bump force. TRACTION GALORE: Extensive field testing proves that Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE delivers 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung shock because GENIE technology gives you supple, coil-like performance, which keeps the wheel in contact with the ground a greater percent of the time than a typical air spring would. BYE; BYE, BOTTOM-OUTS: 39% fewer bottom-outs than a standard air spring. During big hit events, you benefit from the rising rate in the last 30% of the GENIE stroke. Because of this two-stage, pronounced rising rate, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-outs. HONED GEOMETRY: This bike’s geometry delivers big bike capability when you need it, a nimble feel in tight sections, and lively, efficient climbing manners. The generous cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and corner control. The low bottom bracket, slack head tube angle, and optimized fork offset keep things stable in the rough. RIDE YOUR WAY: The Stumpjumper 15 seamlessly integrates benchmark geo adjustability, making it the most personalizable trail bike ever. Six distinct geometry settings allow you to hone performance for any style, any terrain. Head angle and bottom bracket height can be fine-tuned for stability or clearance. WHEEL CHOICE: With our aftermarket shock links, you can choose between big wheels front and rear or mix things up with a 27.5" rear for a more responsive and playful ride. No matter what you choose, geometry is unaffected. CARRY IT ALL: SWAT 4.0 on Stumpjumper 15 elevates downtube storage, an innovation we pioneered. It’s the smoothest operating, most weather-resistant, flush-mounted system ever. MORE RELENTLESS THAN YOU: Our full suspension bikes are built to be relentless, designed to endure years of hard riding and backed by the best support and policies to keep you on the trail. Our unbeatable lifetime, no-questions-asked replacement of suspension pivot bearings to the original owner is just one way we've got you covered.

Fuzzballs get wearing once
Color: Black, Size: X-Large
Very smart to wear, but the quality is terrible so after one wash the collar start fraying and fuzzballs start forming. Very disappointing.

Almost the perfect watch
Color: Black/Blue
I have owned three earlier models of these things going back to the days when I actually ran road races. They are brilliant pieces of work. My only complaint of them was that the start/stop/split button(s)--there were two on the older models--were too small. Well, apparently Timex listens and the two small buttons are now combined into one larger one. Probably this was done years ago but I'm only now getting back into road work, so now I get to discover it. The perfect watch? Almost. I especially like this model as my eyes are not what they used to be and the oversized face makes it easier to read. The downside to this is that it also makes the crystal easier to scratch. That's always been an issue, but I can live with it. No, the real problem with this product is, was, and apparently ever shall be, the band. Now, it could be worse, it could be a resin band (like the old ones) that will crack and break within a couple of years, but no, this is a nylon and velcro wrap style which should be just dandy, but for three glitches: 1. it's too short 2. it's too narrow (gee whiz, Timex designers, it's an oversized watch, why not a matching oversized band?) and 3. it's still resin where it attaches to the actual watch. Now, I imagine it's probably less prone to breakage in how it's implemented, but if you should choose to replace it, I can see no obvious way of removing it short of cutting it off. Really? But these are minor complaints. I doubt it would be comfortable on anyone whose wrists are much bigger than my own, but replacement bands are everywhere, and this watch will keep time with style and it's brilliant at splits. Heck, it even functions admirably as a backup for my expensive stopwatches at our regular short track stock car events. For my money (and did I mention the price is wonderful?) the Ironman is still the best at what it does, and for what it can do.

Good hard use watch.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
Review Calibration: 3 stars means it works as advertised, nothing special during use, and no amazing features. Higher stars mean better-than-expected performance and features. This is 5 stars because it is my favorite work/hard-use watch. I have been wearing one for years, and like all Timex watches, it can take a beating. I have to replace it when the band's ears get so damaged that they won't hold the band on. This has more to do with the plastic's lifespan than with a design issue. I am hard on watches. This watch normally lasts ne 7-10 years between replacements.

Typical Ironman quality
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
This is my fourth Timex Ironman watch. I own many watches, and prefer the Ironman for casual wear and sporting activities as well as swimming and snorkeling. I decided to replace an earlier model with this one rather than pay to change the battery. The Ironman has changed very little over the years since its introduction in the '80s, with the exception of cosmetic improvememnts and a larger display. I selected the "oversize" model as I was looking for a little more heft to this model. This watch fits the bill, not as chunky as my G-Shock. A pleasant surprise was the weight of the watch. This model is lightweight, another advantage over the G. It's larger than the typical Ironman model, but about the same weight. The band lacks the stiffness of some other Timex and Casio models, and is quite comfortable. Typical Ironman functions are unchanged, and the ability to "hide" various functions makes operation of the watch more efficient. There are three time zones, useful when traveling, as well as the usual chronograph/timer and alarm functions. I haven't worn the watch in the pool or ocean yet, but if experience is any guide, I expect no problems. I've never had an Ironman leak, whether during water sports or snorkeling. These are great watches for the money. I prefer 200 meter water resistance for this type of watch, but Timex has yet to build an Ironman 200m that doesn't overwhelm my wrist in weight and size. I'm not a big guy, and they are simply too large for my wrist. Looking forward to years of service with this watch. Definitely a good timepiece for the price.
