As well as chronicling their lives, he has also attempted to look at their social background, origins, inter_relationships and ultimate dispersal around the world.
It is hoped that this work will be of interest not only to those who, like the author, are descended from some of the families featured in the book, but also to more general historians as an illustration of the human element that went into the making of one Cornish community.
